Angie Su's passion for film and cooking began early on in life. Contemporary and traditional elements of culinary arts have always fascinated her; the tools and techniques used in the kitchen have also influenced the way she makes films. The same bold visual effect food can have is present in her films and commercial work. During her intense directorial training at Art Center College of Design, she learned a deeper sense of storytelling. For her, food becomes both a narrative element and a powerful metaphor, which goes beyond just being a simple prop to excite an audience's palate. It is the character.
